The Anti-War Committee respects the emotions of the Ukrainian society, which has been holding back Putin’s aggression for six months now. We also understand the emotions of people in Russia’s neighbouring countries who may become the next target. However, calls to impose a visa blockade on all Russian citizens, including those who have taken an explicit anti-war stance and as a result risk long-term imprisonment, have sad examples in recent European history and clearly play to the Kremlin’s advantage.
