Anti-War Committee of Russia — uniting Russians opposed to war

We coordinate efforts, support anti-war Russians, and create a space for solidarity, action, and mutual assistance for people opposing the war initiated by the Kremlin.

This war was started in the name of all Russians — and each of us must take responsibility for stopping it.

On February 24, 2022, the Russian leadership, headed by Vladimir Putin, unleashed a war against Ukraine. In the eyes of the world, this war crime was committed in the name of the entire country, of all Russians.

We, the citizens of Russia, have unwillingly become responsible for the violation of international law, the military invasion, and the mass loss of life. Silence or passive disagreement is unacceptable in the face of such a tragedy.

The Russian Antiwar Committee was created to oppose this war: to unite people’s efforts, develop a common stance, and help address the consequences of Putin’s aggression.

We believe in the value of human life and the right of every person to freedom. The Putin regime is a direct threat to these principles. Our goal is to unite forces to resist this regime.

This war was not started by the Russian people but by a dictator who has lost touch with reality. It is our civic duty to do everything possible to stop it.
