On May 21–22, 2025, the Conference of the Anti-War Committee of Russia (ACR) will take place in Brussels.

This year, the conference will focus on security issues. Its main theme is: “Development strategy of the Russian Anti-War Movement and European Security”.

The first day of the conference will include:

  • welcome meetings with European politicians;
  • Summary of ACR’s activities over the past year (the “Consuls” project, assistance to prisoners of war and deserters, advocacy for Russians in exile);
  • session:“The Fight for Freedom” featuring former Ukrainian prisoners of war;
  • session: “War and Peace” focusing on preventive diplomacy and peacemaking.

In addition, for the second time the Conference will include a pitching session for anti-war, human rights and media projects. After the pitching session, a mini-grant from ACR and an Audience Award will be presented to selected projects’ authors. Last year’s pitching session featured 18 projects with financial support gathered by the projects after the Conference exceeding €90,000.

The second day of the ACR conference in Brussels will include working groups on human rights, cybersecurity, and counter-propaganda as well as discussion panels on forming political representation for anti-war Russians abroad.

Outside the main Conference it will be possible to visit a photo exhibition, buy anti-war merchandise, and donate to the light and heat initiative “Energy for Life”.
