Statement of the Anti-War Committee regarding Alexei Navalny’s murder

The death of Alexei Navalny is a new crime of Putin and his regime – a vile and cruel political assassination of the opposition leader.

Putin and his inner circle have hundreds of thousands of lives lost and millions of shattered destinies on their conscience, and they must be held accountable for each one.

The best monument to the fallen fighters for freedom would be the cessation of war and the just punishment of all those responsible. We remember everyone who lost their lives due to the regime, we remember every political prisoner, and we will relentlessly fight for their release.

Our friend and fellow committee member, Vladimir Kara-Murza, along with many others, continues to be slowly killed in prison. We cannot allow new victims. This is our responsibility. Join the rallies on the anniversary of the war worldwide.

If you are in Russia, on February 24–25, come to the churches and light candles for the repose of the deceased – it has been 2 years since the beginning of the war and 9 days since Navalny’s death. It is also crucial for us to fulfill Alexei’s last political will – the Noon Against Putin on March 17 at 12:00.

Let’s all show on this day, as Alexei asked us to, that we cannot be intimidated – good people will act and never give up…
